This course will teach you from the basics to the finishing touches to achieve a dry rice dish full of flavour and texture, all in the comfort of your own home.

What does this experience include?

A stylish welcome:We will start with a ‘Casa Camacho’ style vermouth from Madrid, a glass of white or red wine, or a soft drink to relax and whet your appetite.
Key concepts and techniques: I will guide you step by step through the basics of preparing paella, from the selection of ingredients to the ideal cooking times.
Preparation of broths and sofrito:You will learn how to create rich broths and sofritos (including the secret of the salmorreta) which will be the basis of every paella.
Choice and tasting of paella:At the end, we will put into practice what we have learnt by preparing a paella of your choice from the following options:

  • Red prawn and cuttlefish paella: with all the flavour of the sea in every bite.
  • Iberian secret and shitake paella: flavours of the region that will surprise your guests.
  • Traditional Valencian Paella: the traditional recipe, made according to tradition.
  • Pumpkin, butifarra and sobrassada sausage paella: innovative, with a robust flavour profile and atrevido.
  • Customised Paella: if you have a recipe in mind, let me know and we'll make it happen!
